Aerosmith [L to R] Steven Tyler, Brad Whitford, Joe Perry, Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton announce "Aerosmith & Friends" show at Hollywood Bowl. Ross Halfin

Steven Tyler wasn’t kidding earlier this week when he teased that Aerosmith‘s return to the stage after three years would be a major event. On Wednesday (Oct. 7) the full line-up for the double-down at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 was revealed and it reads like a rock ‘n’ roll who’s who.

“California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends,” will, of course, by headlined by the “Dream On” band, who will be joined by The Black Crowes, the group’s “Walk This Way” collaborators Run-DMC, Heart, producer Andrew Watt (Ozzy Osbourne, Rolling Stones), Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and bassist Mike Inez, Train singer Pat Monahan, Sammy Hagar and Tom Morello.

The shows, which will feature producer Don Was as music director, will also feature Marcus King, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens, Godsmack singer Sully Erna, Ozzy Osbourne keyboardist/guitarist Adam Wakeman, guitarist Audley Freed (Black Crowes, Cry of Love), veteran drummer Kenny Aronoff and others.

A pre-sale for Citi cardmembers will begin today (Oct. 8) at 1 p.m. ET here, with additional presales throughout the week ahead of the general on-sale beginning on Saturday (Oct. 10) at 1 p.m. ET; click here for more information on tickets.

In a short video earlier this week, Aerosmith singer Tyler, 78, teased his band’s first shows since they were forced to call off their planned final tour, Peace Out … Farewell Tour, in September 2023 after Tyler was diagnosed with a fractured larynx just three dates into what was billed as their last road trip. The tour was initially postponed, then canceled, with the veteran band announcing their retirement from touring after more than 55 years of road work.

The official photo for the outing (see above) also suggest that the band’s full classic lineup will be on hand for the shows, including founding drummer Joey Kramer, who hasn’t played with the group in six years, since stepping away in 2020 due to health issues. The announcement also noted that lineups will vary by night and additional “legendary” artists, special guests and surprise appearances will be revealed later.
