The 20th edition of the Asian Games will begin on September 19 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Twenty athletes out of the 492 travelling to Japan will be taking part in badminton events in this edition of the continental showpiece.
In 2023, the Indian badminton contingent clinched three medals. The men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty bagged the nation’s first-ever Asian Games gold in the sport. The men’s team won a silver while H.S. Prannoy won a bronze in men’s singles.
