Britain's Got Talent former judge set to return for 20th anniversary celebrations

Former Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has dropped a hint that he could be set to return for the show's 20th anniversary celebrations.
The journalist was part of the original lineup of judges alongside Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden and appeared on the talent show for three years from its conception in 2007 to 2010.
Now, with the show's 20th anniversary coming up next year, Morgan has teased that he could be making a return.
Morgan reposted on X an article from The Sun reporting that two former stars were making a comeback to the talent show. He added a wide-eyed emoji suggesting that he could just well be one of those stars.
The original article reported from a source: "A 20th anniversary extravaganza is in the works as producers work out which familiar faces to bring back to celebrate the huge milestone.
"Simon, Piers and Amanda had such fun chemistry. The idea would be to bring Piers back as a guest judge for the January auditions."

While it's not outright confirmation, for fans of the show this was enough of a hint to amp up anticipation for 2027.
Morgan's former co-host of Good Morning Britain Susanna Reid also teased his return to Britain's Got Talent.
Speaking on the ITV morning news programme, Reid said: "I asked him direct and got the laughing emoji, then I noticed he wasn’t denying it …"
Following his departure from BGT in 2010, Morgan was replaced with a series of guest judges before it was announced in 2012 that David Walliams and Aleisha Dixon would be joining Cowell and Holden as part of the permanent line-up.
Morgan was previously rumoured to be returning to the show in 2020, but these rumours were never proved true after David Walliams renewed his contract.
Britain's Got Talent will return in 2027.
