Equinor signs third long-term gas deal with Eneco this year

Translate

Equinor (EQNR) signed a five-year agreement to supply Dutch energy company Eneco with around 9 terawatt-hours (TWh) of natural gas annually, equivalent to ~0.9B cubic meters.

Deliveries to the Dutch gas grid began on October 1, 2026. The agreement covers gas from the Norwegian continental shelf, with total deliveries expected to reach around 45 TWh over five years.

The contract also includes the transfer of verified environmental data tracking the gas’s origin and upstream greenhouse gas emissions.

Eneco said the agreement would enable it to supply Norwegian gas to all its residential and small-business customers in the Netherlands. The commercial terms were not disclosed.

“This is the third long-term agreement we have signed with Eneco this year, and I am very pleased that we are further expanding our relationship," said Helle Østergaard Kristiansen, Equinor’s senior VP for Gas & Power.
