U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s attempt to rally social media in her bid for Tennessee governor backfired when she got roasted for posting an AI-generated clip of herself performing “Not Like Us” as Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LIX.

“Tomorrow. Ready to roll,” she captioned the clip on X, which features Blackburn flanked by WWE superstar-turned-politician Kane (Glenn Jacobs), Rep. Tim Burchett, Sen. Bill Hagerty and state Sen. Brent Taylor — all representing Tennessee — in the background.

Billboard has reached out to Kendrick Lamar’s reps for comment.

Blackburn’s replies section quickly became flooded, as X users were stunned she would post a clip as Kendrick Lamar, which some commenters deemed “painfully cringe” and “AI slop.” Wrote one person: “You found a way to make artificial intelligence look stupid.”

Another added: “What in the absolute f–king AI slop is this?”

One more chimed in: “I love how you’re getting destroyed in the comments.”

Blackburn’s Democratic opposition, Jerri Green, even took the opportunity to react publicly. She wrote on X: “When I say please stop using AI to support our campaign, this is what I mean.”

According to RealClearPolitics, Blackburn holds a strong advantage over Green at the polls in the bid to become Tennessee’s governor.

Lamar won a second Primetime Emmy in the outstanding music direction category for his Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show performance in February 2025 in New Orleans. His hit “Not Like Us” served as the killshot in Lamar’s 2024 battle with Drake. The OVO diss track topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won massively at the 2025 Grammy Awards, which included victories for song of the year, record of the year, best rap song, best music video and best rap performance.
