Translate

Gnarls Barkley have announced their first tour in 18 years, following their long-awaited return with new music earlier this year.

The duo of CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse will embark on the ‘To Whom It Still Concerns’ tour in November, marking their first run of live dates since 2008.

The North American leg will begin at The Masonic in San Francisco on November 5 and take in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Silver Spring, Toronto and New York, before wrapping up at Chicago’s House Of Blues on November 28.

They will then head to the UK for four shows in December, playing Manchester Academy, Glasgow’s O2 Academy, Wolverhampton Civic Hall and the new British Airways ARC venue in London.

WATCH

Tickets for the UK shows go on general sale at 10am BST on Friday (September 25) here, following an artist pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday (September 23).

For the North American dates, Citi and Spotify pre-sales begin tomorrow (September 21), before an artist pre-sale on Wednesday. General sale begins at 10am local time on Thursday (September 24) here.

Speaking about the upcoming shows, Green said: “The Gnarls Barkley ‘To Whom It Still Concerns’ Tour operates like an open book, exploring the universal matters of life, death and everything in between.

“These songs are the silver lining to an otherwise sad story. Come, and let’s celebrate together the beautiful madness of it all.”

Announcing the record in February, the pair described it as a “capstone to the Gnarls Barkley story”. The album arrived in March, following 2006 debut ‘St. Elsewhere’ and 2008’s ‘The Odd Couple’.

Green previously described comeback track ‘Pictures’ as “like going back to square one”, adding: “It’s a full circle moment. The song came from a childhood experience.”

Gnarls Barkley first broke through internationally with ‘Crazy’ in 2006. The track became the first single to top the UK charts based solely on digital downloads and remained at Number One for nine consecutive weeks.
