After seven seasons, The Kelly Clarkson Show has come to an end.

The host delivered a sensational rendition of “Golden” for the occasion, the Oscar-winning hit song from KPop Demon Hunters. On social media, Kelly Clarkson’s team said that it was the “most requested Kellyoke EVER!”

Clarkson sailed through the track’s high notes, with many fans online remarking on the singer’s powerhouse vocals. “She did it in the original key like it’s nothing! Kelly is truly a superhuman vocalist and the true American Idol,” wrote one commenter on YouTube. Another fan on Instagram said, “Kelly does it NO FALSETTO?!?!?! Queen.”

This isn’t the first time Clarkson has covered a KPop Demon Hunters song. In January, Clarkson and My Band Y’all delivered an emotional version of “What It Sounds Like” from the popular Netflix film.

For her final taping, Clarkson featured a special “Kelly by Request” segment that included fan-requested songs from her catalog. “The Kellyoke that we played, ‘Golden,’ was the most requested Kellyoke we ever had, so Kelly knew she wanted to put it in the last episode,” the show’s executive producer Alex Duda told USA Today. “That’s why we built the whole episode around ‘By Request.’ We knew that’s going to be positive; we won’t be sad. We’ll be happy because it’ll be a Kelly Clarkson concert, basically.”

In February, Clarkson announced that her talk show would end after its seventh and current season. In a statement posted to social media, she acknowledged her team at The Kelly Clarkson Show, writing that she was “forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for.” She also thanked guests on the show who “shared their time and lives” and the fans for their support.

Clarkson continued, saying that her decision to step away from the show’s daily schedule will allow her “to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
