Pacquiao to receive honorary doctorate degree
The government’s antipoverty czar Secretary Manny Pacquiao will also get his own honorary doctorate degree.
The Philippine Normal University (PNU) said the boxing champ will receive the Doctor in Physical Education and Sports, honoris causa, during a ceremony on Wednesday.
According to the PNU, the honorary doctorate is in recognition of Pacquiao’s contributions to Philippine sports and his role in inspiring Filipinos to pursue excellence despite difficult circumstances. —DEXTER CABALZA
