Kerim Alajbegović is expected to start on the left as Luciano Spalletti switches Juventus to a 4-4-2 at Fiorentina, with Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade up front, while Franco Mastantuono and Mateo Pellegrino lead Paolo Vanoli’s attack.
Fiorentina vs. Juventus kicks off at 20:45 CET [19:45 GMT] on Sunday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, with Andrea Colombo as referee.
Juventus are looking for a third straight win after beating Napoli 2-0 last weekend and AZ Alkmaar 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday. The Bianconeri are 17 points into the season and trying to close the gap on the top four. Fiorentina finally got going with a 4-2 win at Sassuolo last weekend, but they’re on eight points, only just above the Serie A relegation zone.

Spalletti’s injury list is long: Kenan Yildiz, Khéphren Thuram, Manuel Locatelli, Kamil Grabara, Zeki Çelik and Nicolas González are all out. Andrea Cambiaso is being assessed for muscle fatigue, and Weston McKennie is a doubt after coming off against Napoli. Arkadiusz Milik isn’t in the squad list.
Fiorentina are without Arthur Atta and Marin Pongračić, while Luca Ranieri and Fabiano Parisi are still being assessed.
The sources disagree on several selections. Gazzetta have Valdepeñas at full-back, but their own report and Goal both point to João Mário starting there instead. Calciomercato tip Spalletti to keep a back three with Federico Gatti, while Gazzetta make McKennie a 60-40 favourite over Gatti and Teun Koopmeiners a narrow favourite over Cape Sarr. In Fiorentina’s midfield, Nicolò Fagioli is narrowly ahead of Oulai.

In the UK and Ireland, Fiorentina vs. Juventus is live on DAZN, TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports 4, with streaming on HBO Max.
In the US, the game is on Paramount+.
