New Zealand have announced their squad for the upcoming five-match ODI series against India, with Mitchell Santner named captain.Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, Rachin Ravindra and Tim Seifert are among the players included for the series, which begins on November 4 at Eden Park in Auckland.

The ODI matches will follow the five-match T20I series, scheduled from October 22 to November 1.The Blackcaps will aim to continue their strong run against India after winning the ODI series 2-1 in January. That victory was historic, as it marked New Zealand's first ODI series win against India on Indian soil.

Key players return to the ODI squad

Allen and Ferguson are returning to ODI cricket after last playing in the format in 2023. Ferguson's last ODI appearance was in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup semi-final against India in Mumbai.

Seifert is also back after an absence of around 18 months, having last played an ODI during New Zealand's home series against Pakistan.Ravindra, who missed the T20I squad due to a shoulder injury, will be available for the first three ODI matches.

Squad changes for the final two matches

New Zealand will make changes to the squad for the final two ODIs, with seven additional players joining the group. Some players will travel to Wellington after the third ODI to prepare for the upcoming Test series against India, according to the New Zealand Cricket website.

The squad for the first three matches includes Santner, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Ravindra, Nathan Smith, Blair Tickner and Will Young.
