Hila Klein Requests Joint Custody of Their Three Children and Restoration of Her Maiden Name

The divorce petition lists October 10, 2012, as the couple's wedding date. Hila is asking the court for joint custody of their sons Theodore, 7, Bruce, 4, and Sunny, 2. She also requested spousal support and wants Ethan to cover her attorney fees.

This follows a lengthy Instagram statement Hila shared on October 22, where she explained how she found out about Ethan's alleged affair.

She claimed he first described what happened as just a kiss, then changed his explanation to emotional cheating. Hila then said he eventually admitted to an affair lasting more than six months.

“The betrayal I feel is immeasurable,”she wrote, describing Ethan as the person she had trusted for 20 years and her partner in marriage, parenting and business.

Hila also admitted she still didn't know the full extent of the affair. Her priority, she said, was taking care of herself and their children while dealing with separation and co-parenting.

Ethan Klein's H3 Podcast Crew Cuts Ties With Him as the Show Goes on Indefinite Hiatus

The divorce filing isn't the only big change around the couple. The H3 Podcast had already announced an indefinite hiatus shortly before Hila went public with her allegations.

The show's production crew later put out a statement saying they would no longer work with Ethan or profit from his involvement. They also showed support for Hila, writing, “We stand with Hila and will support her every step of the way.”

Ethan eventually spoke to the public attention through an Instagram Story, asking people to respect his family's privacy.

He also said he was working to remove his ownership and financial interests from the podcasts and joint businesses, including Teddy Fresh and Teddy Glow, so their proceeds wouldn't benefit him.

He hasn't publicly given a detailed response to Hila's allegations.
