LUBBOCK, Texas -- Arizona wide receiver R.J. Mosley was carted off the field and taken to an area hospital for evaluation after suffering a knee injury in the third quarter of the Wildcats' game against Texas Tech on Saturday.

On third and 18, Mosley caught a pass from Noah Fifita and was hit by Texas Tech defensive back Amier Boyd after an 8-yard gain. Mosley grabbed his knee after going down, and teammates, including Fifita, reacted nearly immediately.

The ESPN broadcast said it would not show the injury because the production truck indicated it was not suitable for replay. The Arizona team surrounded him as his leg was put in a cast and he was loaded onto a cart and taken off the field.

Mosley, a 6-3, 197-pound freshman from Brentwood, Calif., was a four-star recruit and the highest-rated prospect in this year's class.
