Danny Trejo Joins Spanish Horror-Comedy ‘Together Until Death’ Alongside Sandra Escacena, Aria Bedmar, Nira Osahia & More

EXCLUSIVE: Danny Trejo has joined the cast of Together Until Death (Juntas Hasta la Muerte), a new Spanish horror-comedy written and directed by Igna L. Vacas.
Principal photography got underway this month in the Canary Islands on the film, whose ensemble is led by two of Spanish horror’s rising young actors: Sandra Escacena, star of Paco Plaza’s Verónica, and Aria Bedmar, who starred in Plaza’s Netflix horror feature Sister Death.
They are joined by Stephanie Gil (Terminator: Dark Fate); Nira Osahia, fresh off Netflix’s young adult series Olympo; Carlos Santos, winner of a Goya Award for Smoke & Mirrors and a cast member of Billionaires’ Bunker; and vet David Santana.
The film “follows four inseparable friends whose celebration of one member’s university admission turns into a nightmare when a macabre prank goes fatally wrong. Their decision to conceal the accident triggers an increasingly chaotic spiral of bodies, lies and blackly comic violence.” Above is a first look.
Trejo, the screen icon known for starring in From Dusk Till Dawn, Machete and Grindhouse, will play Ossorio, a veteran and politically incorrect police commissioner whose unconventional approach to the investigation puts him on a collision course with the film’s protagonists.
The film is produced by Teikirisi Films (Paco Sepúlveda), in association with Panic in Frames (Víctor Paniagua) and Guainot.
Vacas previously directed the English-language horror-comedy The Nanny’s Night.
“We set out to make a bold, fast-paced and unapologetically entertaining genre film, driven by female characters and conceived with an international audience in mind from day one,” said producer Paco Sepúlveda. “The Canary Islands give us the visual scale and versatility the story needs, while this cast allows us to push both the horror and the dark comedy much further.”
