‘The Devi Show’ ends after six years: What’s next?

South African investigative journalist Devi Sankaree Govender announced that The Devi Show will be coming to an end, but she hinted that it will not be completely disappearing from our screens. What’s next for the journalist?
‘THE DEVI SHOW’ ENDS AFTER SIX YEARS
Six years later, after catching “crooks”, corrupt indiviudals and more, Devi Sankaree Govender announced that The Devi Show will have it’s final episode on Sunday. While The Devi Show is ending on TV, Devi hinted that she will be transitioning from TV into the digital space, as streaming sites grow in popularity.
“Join me for my final episode of #Devi #Sunday as I transition from linear TV into the digital space,” she said.
“And we end, in grand style, with one of our most prolific ‘characters’. Leopards seldom change their spots – and so it was with #GeorgeWebb, who made his 1st appearance as ‘the tenant from hell’ way back in 2020. We confront him for the 5th time.”
FROM LINEAR TELEVISION TO DIGITAL SPACES
She explained the jump from linear television into the ditial space in an Instagram post. Take a look…
“After 30 years on television (imagine!) I’m getting ready for a whole new escapade. I’ve had the privilege of telling extraordinary stories, interacting with super-cool South Africans and confronting a few rather interesting characters (you know The Ones). For the past six years on eTV, The Devi Show has been such a special part of that journey. On Sunday, 11 October, we’ll be wrapping up our television chapter,” she wrote.
“But … relax – I’m not disappearing off your screens. The world is changing, and so is the way we connect. I want to meet you where you are and explore new possibilities,” she continued.
“To everyone who has watched and trusted me with your stories, thank you! To my dear crooks – don’t celebrate too early – I’m moving to a bigger space and I have very interesting plans for us,” she continued.
