Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s cousin on fresh CBI probe into Disha Salian’s death

TRIGGER WARNING: This article contains mention of death.The Bombay High Court’s decision to order a fresh CBI probe into the death of Disha Salian, who was Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager, has renewed hopes in Bihar that the circumstances surrounding her death and that of the actor could be looked into again.

Disha passed away on June 8, 2020, after reportedly falling from a residential building in Mumbai.

Six days later, on June 14, Sushant was found dead at his Bandra residence. The timing of the two deaths has led to speculation over whether there was any connection between the cases. However, investigators have not established any link between the two deaths.In Purnia, Sushant’s ancestral village, his cousin Panna Singh welcomed the High Court’s intervention.

As mentioned by The Times Of India City, he said the family continues to have faith in the judiciary and hopes the fresh probe will help bring greater clarity to the circumstances surrounding the deaths. “It now seems that we will get justice,” Singh said.He alleged that Sushant was murdered and claimed the actor was planning to hold a press conference to share evidence. “He was a fearless boy. He was not afraid of anyone.

Sushant was going to hold a news conference and expose all these pieces of evidence, and we believe that because of this, he was murdered,” Singh said.Former Bihar minister and Sushant Singh Rajput’s cousin, Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, said the latest development had given him fresh hope that the truth would finally come out.“When Sushant died, we believed that it was a murder. We had gone to Mumbai, and from the time we came to know what had happened there, we had continuously been saying that Sushant was murdered and that Salian’s death was related to Sushant’s murder,” Bablu said.He alleged that the then Maharashtra govt had suppressed the matter and that attempts had been made to destroy or conceal evidence. Bablu said the High Court’s intervention and the fresh CBI probe had given hope to Sushant’s family, people in Bihar and his fans across the country.Sushant’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti also welcomed the development. In a video shared on X and Instagram, she expressed hope that the fresh inquiry would bring out the truth and said the fresh CBI probe into Salian’s death had given hope to many of Sushant’s supporters.
