CAA co-chairman Kevin Huvane has donated a van to Los Angels-based Project Angel Food in honor of his late father Martin “Pop” Huvane.

This is the second van the Hollywood powerhouse has donated to the non-profit meal delivery service. He gifted a van in 2024 in memory of his late brother, talent manager Chris Huvane.

Project Angel Food delivers meals to homebound seriously ill residents throughout Los Angeles County.

“My father, Martin ‘Pop’ Huvane, believed in showing up for people and helping wherever he could,” Kevin said in a statement Thursday. “Project Angel Food does that every day, delivering not only meals but also compassion and connection to those facing serious illness. Pop would have been delighted to know that this gift helps bring the organization’s first electric delivery van into service, allowing them to reach even more people in need. Honoring him through an organization that so beautifully reflects his values is incredibly meaningful to our family.”

The new electric van was unveiled during a ceremony at CAA’s Los Angeles offices on Wednesday. The van features an image of Pop and a quote that says, “In loving memory of Martin ‘Pop’ Huvane, whose big heart, quick wit, and unwavering integrity brightened the lives of everyone who knew him for nine remarkable decades.”

The ceremony was attended by members of the Huvane family and friends, as well as Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub and chief development officer LaShanda Maze. It is the first electric van in the organization’s history.

Pop was a devoted husband, father of six, grandfather and proud New Yorker. Married to his beloved wife, Genevieve, for 46 years before her passing, Pop worked for the New York City Transit Authority, Encyclopedia Britannica and owned a neighborhood deli.

“The Martin ‘Pop’ Huvane van will travel throughout all of Los Angeles County delivering not only lifesaving meals but hope and love to our often-invisible neighbors,” Ayoub said. “It will be part of a fleet that delivers more than 1.5 million meals every year, and it’s the second van Kevin Huvane has donated to Project Angel Food, our first electric van.”

The electric van will be able to travel up to 130 miles on one single charge with enough meals and supplement bags for up to 50 clients every day. The van joins a fleet that services more than 2,600 clients every day across 92 routes and 130,000 meals per month, including traveling an astounding 220,000 miles annually across 4,751 square miles of Los Angeles County.
