Abishek Porel scores second First-Class century for Bengal against Delhi in Ranji Trophy

Bengal wicketkeeper-batter Abishek Porel scored his second First-Class century on Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy fixture against Delhi in Kalyani on Monday.
He reached the three-figure mark in 137 balls. Along the way, he has struck 11 fours and a six. He is currently involved in a fourth-wicket 100-plus stand with Sudip Gharami, who has also hit a century.
Porel had not played competitive cricket since the conclusion of IPL 2026. In August, he was arrested in Kolkata in connection with a case involving allegations of rape and other sexual offences.
Last season, Bengal topped its group and reached the semifinals, where it lost to eventual champion Jammu and Kashmir.
Last month, Porel was also named in Bengal’s squad for the practice matches in Guwahati.
