KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened slightly higher before easing in early trade, as buying interest persisted following Wall Street's stronger performance and easing US-China trade tensions.

The key index opened 0.93 point higher at 1,672.55.

The benchmark index is expected to remain in consolidation, trading within the 1,665 to 1,680 range today.

In the crypto market, Bitcoin continued to decline to RM344,027.

Ethereum and Solana also fell to RM10,916 and RM497, respectively.
