‎The Multimedia Group Limited has received a Special Award at the Mfantsipim @150 Sesquicentennial Awards and Fundraising Gala in recognition of its longstanding partnership with the school and contribution to its 150th anniversary celebrations.
‎
‎The award acknowledges the Group's support for the historic institution and its role in promoting Mfantsipim's heritage as it marks 150 years of providing education and shaping generations of leaders.
‎
‎Speaking on behalf of management, Head of Joy Business, Nana Banyin Addo, described the recognition as a celebration of the shared history between the two institutions.

According to him, Mfantsipim's influence is deeply intertwined with the history of the Multimedia Group, noting that several members of its leadership, including its founder and Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman, are old students of the school.
‎
‎"We are not just celebrating an institution with an extraordinary legacy. We are celebrating a community whose influence is intertwined with our own history as a Multimedia Group," he said.
‎
‎Mr Addo said the school's contribution to the Group's growth over the years made it important for the company to support its milestone celebrations.
‎
‎He said the award was particularly meaningful because of the Group's longstanding relationship with the school, adding that management was proud to be recognised for its support.
‎
‎"For us, as a Multimedia Group, we are happy for this day. We are happy and proud, and we celebrate Mfantsipim. Today's award is basically to recognise the support we have offered to Mfantsipim, and we are glad that this contribution has been acknowledged," he said.

The gala night also recognised several other distinguished alumni for their contributions across various fields. Among them was George Quaye, who received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for Arts and Cultural Excellence.

‎Meanwhile, the Osu Mantse and an old student of Mfantsipim, Teteete Nii Nortey Owuo IV, called on alumni to rally behind efforts to make the school's 150th anniversary celebrations memorable. The traditional ruler, who completed the school in 1996, said his year group was committed to making a significant contribution to the celebrations.

‎
‎He urged alumni and other stakeholders to participate in the celebrations and support efforts to preserve the institution's legacy.
