‘Nobody Wants This’ Has Netflix’s Best Scripted Comedy Return Of The Year Despite 28% Audience Decline For Season 3 Debut

Translate

Season 3, which premiered October 22, debuted with Netflix‘s best opening weekend for a returning scripted comedy series this year, per the latest data. It took No. 2 on the English-language television rankings from October 19 to 25 with 6.2M views in its first four days of availability.

That is, however, about a 28% decrease from the 8.6M views that Season 2 took home in the same time frame. The series has been on a downward trajectory since Season 1, when it came in at 10.3M views in the first four days. It’s not entirely uncommon for returning series across both linear and streaming to lost viewers over time, though this is an ongoing problem at Netflix that Deadline has previously reported on.

Nobody Wants This was still bested by Below, which continues to pique interest, putting up 7.7M views in its third week.

Elsewhere in TV, Season 4 of The Diplomat managed third place with 5.5M views, while East of Eden placed sixth with 3.6M views.

On the non-English list, Part 4 of Lupin came in at No. 1 with 6.4M views. Part 1 returned to the list five years after its release in tenth place with 2.1 million views.
