KUALA LUMPUR: Social media influencer Lim Sian See, whose real name is Datuk Eric See-To, was summoned to Brickfields district police headquarters today to have his statement recorded over an online post.

According to a source, Lim was then brought to the Dang Wangi IPD at 12.45 am, before the case was referred to Bukit Aman.

He was later released on police bail, the source added.

Lim reportedly questioned the use of the word "lighad" in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's speech when tabling the Supply Bill (2027 Budget) in the Dewan Rakyat on Friday.

In the post, Lim questioned the term and sarcastically linked it to another word.

The word "lighad", quoted from verse 18 of Surah al-Hasyr in the Quran, means "tomorrow" or "the future".
