Coronation Street's Idris Nazir forced to scrap shock scheme – but he's not done

Idris Nazir is forced to do a U-turn in his current scheme in scenes that aired tonight on Coronation Street. The newcomer has stirred up life in Weatherfield thanks to his ruthless behaviour and fiery clashes with Daniel Osbourne, Adam Barlow, and Ronnie Bailey.
He's also dragged his partner, Leanne Battersby, into his way of life, with the lovebirds currently embroiled in a scheme to convince Nick Tilsley to sell the Bistro to them. In tonight's episode, however, Leanne has a crisis of conscience that forces Idris to rethink his manipulative ways, but will he turn over a new leaf?

The episode began with Nick telling Sam Blakeman that he's planning to sell the business back to Leanne so that he can focus on being a good parent to him.
Sam begged him to reconsider selling the place that is not only his livelihood and what keeps their family afloat, but also somewhere he loves so much and has put so much soul into.
Nick and Toyah Battersby later relayed this to Leanne, who, despite urgently wanting to take over the Bistro, admits that Dam is right and they should hang on, assuring them business will pick up.
Idris later asked her about the meeting when she returns to Speed Daal, and she told him that she didn't pursue their plan as it was unfair to turn his life upside down again.
He left the restaurant absolutely fuming, but as one scheme seems to come to an end, another conflict arose for Idris.

He told his cousin Alya Nazir that there was a piece of council land he was interested in buying and that he'd like to employ her as his solicitor for the buying process.
At the same time, however, Daniel tells Ken Barlow that, according to Mrs Cranshaw, he had learned the council planned to sell the land to a fat cat developer, vowing to make sure that doesn't happen.
With Idris desperate to buy the land, will he and Daniel go head-to-head over it?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
