Chelsea returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 5-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday, inspired by Jordan Henderson’s brace at Stamford Bridge.

Henderson scored twice and provided an assist for Morgan Rogers as Chelsea ended their run of three consecutive league matches without a win, according to The Guardian’s match report.

The former Liverpool captain opened the scoring in the second minute, finishing a move assisted by Cole Palmer, before Rogers doubled Chelsea’s lead a minute later.

Chelsea carried their advantage into the break and extended it shortly after the restart when João Pedro scored in the 46th minute.

Bournemouth pulled one back through Evanilson in the 51st minute, but João Pedro restored Chelsea’s three-goal cushion with his second strike of the match in the 67th minute.

Henderson completed the scoring in the 70th minute with a free-kick, sealing his brace and Chelsea’s emphatic win.
