KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Wednesday as investors took profits in selected heavyweights, paring recent gains amid ongoing US-Iran talks.

The index opened 1.31 points lower at 1,682.19.

Market sentiment remains cautious despite news that the US and Iran have had a fruitful meeting and continue to see crude oil price sliding lower.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin saw an uptrend, trading at RM353,180.

Following the trend, Ethereum rose to RM11,288, while Solana traded at RM485.
