Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Written by Brandon Sanderson and eventually set to welcome ten dedicated novels, The Stormlight Archive is a high fantasy series set within the author's broader Cosmere universe. Put simply, Sanderson has the writing speed that we all wish George R.R. Martin had, but with multiple sagas under his belt, with The Stormlight Archive being one of the most popular, it is no wonder that it boasts a dedicated fanbase who are eager for the next major release.

Beginning back in 2010 with The Way of Kings, with the fifth novel, Wind and Truth, arriving in December 2024, it has been quite a while since readers got to immerse themselves in The Stormlight Archive, but fear not, as this October is set to welcome an exciting new release.

The Stormlight Archives Continues Next Month

As part of a Kickstarter campaign that is set to launch soon, The Stormlight Archive has been reimagined as a stunning TTRPG experience titled War for Roshar. Created by Brotherwise Games, this strategic board game will see players command the forces of Honor and Odium in a story based on the hit novel franchise.

Command the forces of Honor and Odium in Stormlight: War for Roshar!

Designed by John D Clair, this strategic board game captures the epic war across Roshar, the setting of Brandon Sanderson's best-selling Stormlight Archive® novels. Take control of iconic leaders like Dalinar, Kaladin, Raboniel, and Taravangian. Lead your armies into battle while managing champions, resources, and alliances.

In the epic asymmetric strategy game, players will begin with two leaders that determine their starter deck, then, they will gain cards throughout the rest of the game that will allow them to unlock new armies, allies, and Surgebinding powers.

Not only that, but with this stunning TTRPG experience arriving alongside premium components, stunning art, and deep gameplay, War for Roshar is the ultimate experience for The Stormlight Archive lovers. Better yet, it is expected to launch on 13 October, meaning there are merely days to go until we can get our hands on it.

The Ultimate Stormlight Archives Experience

As an official update by Brotherwise Games reads, "This week marks one month until the start of the Stormlight: War for Roshar Kickstarter campaign, and we are over the three moons with excitement! The definitive Stormlight board game will allow you to experience the events of the books firsthand as some of your favorite characters, and whether you choose to take the side of The Coalition or Odium is up to you."

As such, they have announced another exciting reward for those who have purchased War for Roshar. As well as receiving the board game and all of its stunning components, pledgers will also get to experience the Cosmere Premium Miniatures line. For a minimum $1 pledge, you can get your hands on these stunning miniatures, which feature 16 fan-favorite Mistborn characters from eras one and two.

If you are a Brandon Sanderson fan, then you will not want to miss out on Stormlight: War for Roshar when it launches next month, especially if you are a TTRPG enjoyer to boot.
