The return of Young Sherlock just got a little clearer.
The eight-episode period mystery series debuted on Prime Video earlier this year and is based on Andrew Lane’s novels of the same name. Hero Fiennes Tiffin leads the cast in a reimagining of the famous detective’s early years, while Guy Ritchie directed the opening two episodes and also serves as an executive producer.
Costume designer Jany Temime responded to a comment on Instagram in late September, revealing that filming on season 2 will wrap in three weeks. At the time, she wrote that “we will be finishing in 3 weeks.” If that is the case, then Young Sherlock could hold onto its early-year premiere window or premiere in mid-2027 at the latest.
