AFCON 2027Q: CAF Appoints Nigerian Officials For DR Congo Vs Equatorial Guinea

Nigerian referee Joseph Odey Ogabor has been appointed to officiate the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday one encounter between Democratic Republic of Congo and Equatorial Guinea.

The Group E fixture is scheduled to take place at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte in Kinshasa on Thursday, with kick-off set for 5pm local time.

Ogabor will be assisted by compatriots Tejiri Besmart Digbori, who will serve as Assistant Referee One, and Emmanuel Omada, who will be Assistant Referee Two.

Another Nigerian, Grema Mohamed, has been appointed as the fourth official.

Ogabor, who regularly officiates in the Nigeria Premier Football League ,NPFL, has also handled matches in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.

He recently took charge of the CAF Champions League preliminary-round clash between Medeama and TP Mazembe, further adding to his experience on the continental stage.
