Cheryl and Kelly Rowland went to a Manchester gay bar and sang 'Fight For This Love' and 'Call My Name'

The Voice UK judges Cheryl and Kelly Rowland stunned fans with a surprise singalong of their hits during a night out in Manchester.

Cheryl and Kelly had been filming in the northern city for the ITV series and decided to let off some steam after a hard day of auditions with some cocktails and a bit of a knees up at Via bar in the city's famous Canal Street.

The stunning duo were soon spotted dancing on the popular LGBTQ+ venue’s dance floor, and it wasn't long before the microphones were handed out and the pair began belting out their hits.

Cheryl, who shot to fame in Girls Aloud, before launching a solo career, blasted out her first number one single, Fight For This Love to the delight of clubbers who generously joined in, followed by Call My Name, while Kelly sang to perfection, When Love Takes Over.

And just like that it felt we were back in safer times pre 2013.

Sharing clips on social media, one stunned fan said: “As I live and breathe, @cheryloffcial is in Via.”

A second posted on TikTok: "Cheryl Cole and Kelly Rowland kicking it in Via Mcr on a random Tuesday... Well I am sorry."

The night out comes as Cheryl gets ready to step back fully into television after taking time away for six years and from the public eye to raise her nine-year-old son Bear Payne.

This week, The Sun revealed Cheryl has gone down wonderfully as a new coach on The Voice and has been opening up to auditionees about her fight with Malaria and how she deals with stage-fright.

A source told the paper “There has been a lot of noise around the new series due to the sacking of Sir Tom Jones, but Cheryl has been on top form from day one.

“She started her career on a talent show, so she knows what the contestants are going through.

“At one point, she was talking to a contestant about nerves and admitted that when it came to Girls Aloud’s reunion shows in London, she felt so safe with her bandmates the nerves were almost non-existent.”

Fans of the show were left shocked last week when its current judge Sir Tom Jones, who appears alongside Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Kelly Rowland, said he had been 'fired'.

Following months of rumours, ITV announced that Cheryl would be joining the panel, along with Aitch, real name Harrison James Armstrong and replacing McFly duo, Tom and Danny, and Welsh singer Sir Tom.

An ITV spokesperson said: “The famous red chairs will see the arrival of two musical forces making their debut as coaches. Platinum-selling rap artist Aitch and global pop icon Cheryl are set to begin their hunt for the nation’s next vocal powerhouse.

“These new additions will take their places alongside international superstar Kelly Rowland, who makes her highly anticipated return for a second series as a coach. They join long-standing The Voice UK legend will.i.am.

“Fusing legendary industry experience with a vibrant competitive spirit, our latest panel of icons is ready to discover and celebrate the most remarkable and exciting vocal talent emerging from every corner of the country.”
