Farah Khan gives first glimpse of her seven-bedroom Mumbai home with a private pool and Versova beach views, along with designer bags gifted by Karan Johar

Farah Khan, who has shown viewers inside several celebrity homes in Delhi and Mumbai, has now opened the doors to her own residence for the first time. She also gave a look at her impressive collection of luxury handbags, many of them gifted by her close friend Karan Johar.

A three-floor home with sea views

Farah Khan lives in Oberoi Sky Heights in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. Her sprawling home spans three floors and has seven spacious bedrooms, a private swimming pool and panoramic views of Versova beach. The tour begins at the spot where her private lift opens, leading into a large living area with minimal furniture, including a red sofa, a side table decorated with Buddha idols and wooden flooring.Another sitting area has a white sofa, a red carpet and a workspace that also holds several of her awards.

Kitchen and bedroom

Her kitchen follows an all-white theme, with a black countertop and a large refrigerator. This is where Farah cooks her popular roast chicken and yakhni pulao. Her recently renovated bedroom has brown flooring and walnut-toned walls. A floor-to-ceiling sliding partition separates the sleeping area from the balcony, and the room also has a stylish vanity with several drawers for her makeup.

Farah had earlier spoken about her home on a YouTube episode featuring Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan. When David said she must never leave her house, Farah replied, “Never. I just work and be home.”

Farah Khan’s luxury handbag collection

Farah Khan also showed her wide collection of designer handbags, much of it gifted by Karan Johar in return for choreographing songs in his films. The collection includes pieces from Louis Vuitton, Dior, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Miu Miu and Saint Laurent.Among the standout items are a Louis Vuitton OnTheGo MM Tote Bag worth approximately Rs 3.6 lakh and a Louis Vuitton Monogram Mahina Leather Hobo Bag worth approximately Rs 3.69 lakh. She also owns a Dior Travel Nomad Pouch worth approximately Rs 1.4 lakh and a Roberto Cavalli Leather Hobo Bag with Fang Handle worth approximately Rs 1.64 lakh. The Gucci pieces include a Blondie Medium Top Handle/Shoulder Bag worth approximately Rs 4.3 lakh and a Calfskin Large Rajah Chain Tote worth approximately Rs 2.35 lakh.

A Bottega Veneta Knot Minaudière Clutch worth approximately Rs 4.5 lakh and a Saint Laurent Cassandre Envelope Wallet on Chain worth approximately Rs 1.7 lakh are also part of the collection, among others.

Karan Johar’s gifting habit

During the vlog, Farah pointed to several bags and reminded Karan of the occasions on which he gave them. “This you gifted me on my birthday, this for ‘Yeh Dil Hai Mushkil’, this for ‘Rocky Aur Rani’,” she said.Explaining why he gifts her so many bags, Karan said, “Farah doesn’t charge me any money for my songs; hence, this is my way of her paying her.”

A Hermès surprise

Farah’s home also has a Hermès Mosaique au 24 Gold Tart Platter, reportedly worth around Rs 60,000. Karan was surprised to spot the luxury brand in her house. “I never thought that Farah will have something of this brand at her house,” he said.

Farah revealed that the platter was a gift from Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
