Emmerdale airs Caleb Miligan betrayal as Sadie King twists the knife in early ITVX release

Translate

Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) has succeeded in seducing Emmerdale favourite Caleb Miligan (William Ash).

But what will this mean for his marriage to wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly)?

Conniving Sadie - not content with trying to ruin Nicola King's (Nicola Wheeler) life - stuck around the village to form an alliance with vengeful Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

He's been determined to bring Caleb and Ruby down, for their part in the series of events that led up to his late fiancée Dawn Fletcher's (Olivia Bromley) untimely demise.

Joe has taken on Sadie as his right-hand woman, and tasked her with finding information that could be beneficial to his plot. She eventually decided that trying to wreck their relationship would be beneficial, and knew that by moving in with the couple, she'd be able to succeed.

Over recent weeks, we've seen Sadie pull Ruby away from work to drink in The Woolpack, something which has begun to anger Caleb. But in today's episode, the scheme stepped up a gear.

At The Woolpack, and seeing Ruby's determination to stay on the wagon, Sadie became frustrated that her plans were being foiled. She soon began to grow desperate, and switched her own alcoholic drink for Ruby’s when she wasn't looking.

Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) had joined the women, and began to bemoan her lack of love life. Sadie offered to demonstrate her flirtation techniques, eyeing up Ross Barton (Michael Parr) across the room.

Sadie flirted relentlessly with him, eventually convincing him to join her for a dance. Ruby joined in playfully, but just as Caleb stepped through the door into the boozer, she was pushed towards Ross.

He was furious to see his wife acting so irresponsibly and enjoying another man's company and stormed out. Ruby suddenly realised that she was drunk, and was puzzled given not a drop of alcohol had supposedly crossed her lips all night.

Back at The Mill, Sadie decided to twist the knife further. She told an enraged Caleb that she'd seen Ruby leaving the pub with Ross, and that it was likely that they were going to spend the night together.

In retaliation, he decided that their marriage was over and would finally succumb to Sadie's advances.

How will Caleb and Ruby react when they inevitably learn the truth?
