With recent days welcoming the first full trailer for the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television show, it is no wonder that fans are feeling the nostalgia and what better way to combat that than by returning to Hogwarts Legacy?
Released back in early 2023 and soon becoming the best-selling game of the year, even going on to receive BAFTA Games Awards, D.I.C.E. Awards, and Grammy Awards nominations, the Harry Potter-inspired RPG was a hit for fans, despite the controversy surrounding its launch. Whilst Hogwarts Legacy may have seen many gamers boycott it due to its obvious connection to author J.K. Rowling, who has made headlines for her transphobic views and antisemitic writing, it seems as though this did not stop the RPG's overall success, and to this day, it still sits at an 8.0 User Score on Metacritic.
Now, three years on from launch, and whilst Hogwarts Legacy may have run out of content due to its lack of post-game updates, it is not all doom and gloom, as Avalanche Software is hard at work on a sequel that many expect to launch as early as 2027.
Whilst a release window still remains to be seen, there is plenty of unofficial content to catch up with in the meantime, and that includes one stunning mod that combines the world of Harry Potter and Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.
Created by slytherinies over on Curse Forge, Fire and Blood Attire is a cosmetic mod for Hogwarts Legacy that features a collection of medieval-inspired outfits "drawing inspiration from the world of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, and George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood."
Featuring two outfits for both male and female characters, players can expect both a Riding Outfit and a Royal Outfit, perfect for a king and queen. Not only that, but each variation comes with matching accessories. As the modder says, you will be able to choose your own aesthetic based on the two styles:
- Dark Variation — deep reds, blacks, dark leather, and gunmetal accessories for a darker, more imposing look.
- Light Variation — beiges, whites, light leather, and gold accessories for a brighter, more regal appearance.
Whether you're dressing your character as a dragon rider ready for the skies or as royalty fit for the throne, Fire and Blood Attire brings a touch of Westerosi-inspired medieval fashion to the wizarding world.
Despite being uploaded to Curse Forge just last month, Fire and Blood Attire has already earned itself almost 6,500 downloads, so it is safe to say that this Harry Potter x Game of Thrones crossover is something that fans have been waiting for. Better yet? It is completely free to download for those who own Hogwarts Legacy on PC.
