Security man rapes minor to death, dumps body inside well

A 26-year-old security man, Godwin Dauda, has been arrested by the Police authorities following an allegation that he raped an 11-year-old girl Christabel Albert to death, and dumped her corpse inside a church well.

The incident, Arewa PUNCH gathered happened in Suleja, Niger State after Dauda, who was attached to the Apostolic Church in Suleja fled his duty post to Kuje in the FCT to hide after dumping Albert’s corpse in the well.

A pastor from the church was said to have gone to the Suleja Police Division to report finding a corpse inside a well within the church’s premises.

This finding prompted the police to swing into action to ravel the suspect.

Prior to this time, a relative of Albert had lodged a report of a missing person to the police. The report stated that the girl had gone missing after leaving her home to attend the birthday ceremony of a relative but did not return home.

The Police, during investigations, later found out that Dauda, the security man attached to the church had lured Albert into his security room inside the church and raped her to death and later dumped the girl’s corpse inside a well within the church’s premises in an effort to conceal the corpse before fleeing to Kuje to escape from the wrath of the law.

The Spokesman of the Niger State Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident to Arewa PUNCH said preliminary investigations were in progress and the suspect would  be transferred to SCID Minna for diligent prosecution.

He better explained: “On 20th September 2026 at about 12.30pm, a report of a missing person was made at A Division, Suleja from behind Photo Palace, Suleja, that one Christabel Albert 11 years old was missing after she left home on 19th September 2026 to attend a birthday ceremony of a relative within the area, and she was yet to return home.

“Later in the evening, a pastor from the Apostolic Church Suleja rushed to the Police station and reported that a dead body was found inside a well within the church premises.

“Police moved to the scene and with the help of LGA welfare staff, the corpse was removed and taken to the General Hospital Suleja, where the corpse was later identified to be the missing girl.

“In the course of investigation, it was suspected that the security man, one Godwin Dauda 26 years old attached to the church has a connection with the crime, because he fled from the premises. The suspect was later arrested on 23rd September 2026 at about 8pm around Kuje area of FCT where he ran to hide.

“During interrogation, he confessed that he lured the girl to his security room in the church on 19th September 2026, and raped her to death. He added that in his effort to conceal the crime, he dropped the corpse inside the well and ran away,” the top cop narrated.
