Python's 'pit stop' at Kluang bridge ends in capture

Translate

KLUANG: A python found near a bridge in Kampung Bentong here was captured by Civil Defence Force personnel after an hour-long operation on Tuesday.

District Civil Defence Force disaster operations unit officer Mohamad Faizal Othman said the district operations control centre received a public report about the reptile at 2.43pm on Oct 13.

He said four personnel were deployed to the bridge and captured the snake at 3.42pm.

Faizal advised the public not to approach, disturb or attempt to capture snakes themselves, whether they encountered them near homes, roads or in public areas.

"Keep a safe distance, ensure children are kept away and contact the authorities for assistance," he said.
