Translate

The National Council for Women underlined the need to expand rural development and shift from direct aid to economic empowerment during a Cabinet preparatory session on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Speaking ahead of “Egypt Forum 2026” on Oct. 19–24, the NCW’s Vice President Nesreen al-Baghdadi urged greater private-sector involvement in village development and called for integrated social protection databases. She also advocated support for foster families and elderly care to strengthen family stability.

The session highlighted digital transformation, enhanced civil society coordination, and sustainable job creation to build self-reliance among vulnerable households.
