Euromatch NPFL: Katsina United, Plateau United Share Spoils In Four-Goal Thriller

Katsina United staged a dramatic late comeback to secure a 2-2 draw against Plateau United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 10 encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Saturday.

Umar Rabiu’s own goal handed Plateau United the lead in the 30th minute as the visitors went into the break with a narrow advantage.

Plateau United appeared to have sealed the victory when Jibril Ibrahim doubled their lead in the 82nd minute.

However, Katsina United refused to give up, with Yusha’u Armiya’u pulling one back for the hosts in the 84th minute to set up a tense finish.

Rabiu then redeemed himself for his earlier mistake, finding the equaliser deep into stoppage time to rescue a point for Katsina United and deny Plateau United all three points.

Seven Matchday 10 fixtures are scheduled to take place at various venues on Sunday.
