Agent makes Kayode transfer prediction after goal on Italy debut

Michael Kayode scored on his Italy debut on Monday, and his agent feels the Brentford defender will remain in the Premier League ‘for many years.’

Brentford defender Kayode grabbed headlines thanks to his goal on his senior Italy debut on Monday, when he helped the Azzurri snatch a 4-1 away win against Turkiye.

Agent: Kayode will play in the Premier League ‘for many years’

Kayode, a former Fiorentina defender, joined Brentford in the 2025 January transfer window. He first moved to the Premier League club on loan and then on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.

“It’s the world’s most important league, so it’s widely followed. They play high-level football,” Kayode’s agent Claudio Vigorelli told TMW.

“His Premier League move has helped him develop even further than he did in Italy. I can see him playing in the Premier League for many years.

“He’s a fantastic guy. He’s a very serious professional, and his growth path isn’t over yet.”

Kayode already played a big role at a youth level with the Azzurri, scoring the winning goal in the U19 Euro Final against Portugal in 2023.

The 22-year-old also made ten appearances with the U21 team, but had to wait until last night to make his senior Azzurri debut.

“We hoped so; it has happened, and now we are here to celebrate this debut with a goal, along with Italy’s win,” his agent said.

Kayode has scored one goal in seven appearances across all competitions with Brentford this season. Last summer, he signed a contract extension with the Premier League club until 2032.
