KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended a donation to Makkal Osai senior editor Rajan Boopalan, who is undergoing treatment at Selayang Hospital after suffering a blood clot in his head.

Anwar said several officers from the Prime Minister’s Office had visited Rajan at the hospital on his behalf.

“Besides enquiring about his condition and conveying my regards, they also handed over a contribution on my behalf to ease the burden on him and his family during his treatment,” Anwar said in a Facebook post today.

He also prayed for Rajan’s speedy recovery and for his treatment to proceed smoothly.

Anwar expressed hope that Rajan would fully recover and that his family would be given the strength to get through this challenging period.

Rajan was previously reported to have been found unconscious at his home before further examinations confirmed that a blood vessel in his head had ruptured.

He subsequently underwent a surgical procedure to remove the blood clot, and his condition is now reported to be stable as he receives further treatment. — bernama
