Coronation Street reveals unseen blooper from Maria and Sarah's shock showdown

Coronation Street has revealed an unseen blooper from Maria Connor and Sarah Platt's showdown at the Bistro. Following a gruelling trial, Sarah received a surprising not guilty jury verdict in relation to Theo Silverton's death.
However, her freedom had seemingly come at the cost of Gary Windass receiving an eight month prison sentence for perverting the cause of justice – and Maria isn't too thrilled about it.
Now that she's finally free, Sarah decided to celebrate with daughter Bethany and Todd Grimshaw, who was a key witness in her trial, at the Bistro, but things quickly got tense when Maria shows up.

During an intense row, Maria blamed Sarah for Gary's imprisonment, insulted her and shoved a Manchester tart in her face, which led to Bethany injuring her wrist in the scuffle.
While it was a dramatic scene to watch, Coronation Street's official Instagram account decided to share a light-hearted behind-the-scenes blooper of the confrontation in lieu of no new episode tonight.
In the clip, Samia Longchambon (Maria) approaches the table and mockingly takes part in their celebratory cheers before slamming the glass down on the table when Tina O'Brien (Sarah) asked her where Gary was.
However, Longchambon accidentally smashes the glass on the table, which surprises her and all the other actors.
"Was that a real glass?" she asks, which O'Brien responds: "Yeah!"
Longchambon quickly apologises, leading Warren Jackson (Nick Tilsley) to joke: "You've got some strength."

The caption of the clip read: "Sometimes things don't always go to plan. Clean up on the Bistro floor please.
"We're not on tonight, but we're back tomorrow and Sunday from 7am on ITVX & YouTube!"
As for what is in store for Gary as he serves out his jail sentence, Mikey North says it is looking bleak for his character, adding: ""It's prison, so it's never going to be an easy ride!"
However, he has since found an unlikely ally in Ross Wilkes, who has offered to keep an eye on Gary for Maria while doing his prison officer duties at Highfield, though his intentions still remain unclear.
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
