Falling in Reverse, Corey Taylor & Serj Tankian Top Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart With ‘Joseph’

Falling in Reverse rules Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart for a seventh time, debuting at No. 1 on the Sept. 26-dated list with “Joseph,” a collaboration with Corey Taylor and Serj Tankian.

In the week ending Sept. 17, “Joseph” totaled 2.2 million chart-eligible streams, 49,000 radio audience impressions and 3,000 sold in the United States, according to Luminate. That’s despite a partial week of data, as the song was released Sept. 14.

Falling in Reverse topped the inaugural Hot Hard Rock Songs list in June 2020 with “Popular Monster.” Prior to “Joseph,” the band most recently ruled with its Jelly Roll collaboration “All My Life” for 11 weeks in 2024.

With seven No. 1s, Falling in Reverse moves back into a tie with Bring Me the Horizon for the most. The latter last led in July with “Dehumanized.”

As for Taylor, “Joseph” is his second leader as a soloist, following his featured turn on Motionless in White’s “Playing God” in May. Slipknot, with him as its frontman, has a No. 1 on the chart, “The Chapeltown Rag,” in 2021. Tankian snags his first ruler solo, while his band System of a Down led with “Protect the Land” in 2020.

Speaking of Slipknot, Taylor holds the chart’s top two spots, as the band’s “Arsenal” vaults to No. 2 in its second week on the tally (998,000 streams, 122,000 in airplay audience and 1,000 sold in its first full week after its Sept. 9 release).

Data from the first full tracking week of “Joseph” (Sept. 18-24) will be reflected on the Billboard charts dated Oct. 3.

“Joseph” is currently a standalone single. The band’s most recent album, Popular Monster, debuted at No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart in 2024 and has earned 1.3 million equivalent album units to date.
