'Ramayana' first song 'Jai Jai Ram' crooned by Arijit Singh, Shreya Goshal to be out on Ganesh Chaturthi, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's 'Siya Ram' poster to be unveiled

The wait for the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is about to get more exciting, with the makers set to kick off the film’s musical campaign on Ganesh Chaturthi. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, the much-awaited epic will unveil its ‘Siya Ram poster’ before introducing the first song from its soundtrack, ‘Jai Jai Ram’.The ‘Siya Ram poster’ will be unveiled at 7:30 AM IST on September 14 (Monday), marking the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.Soon after the poster is revealed, the makers will release ‘Jai Jai Ram’, the first song from ‘Ramayana’. The track has been composed by AR Rahman and written by Dr Kumar Vishwas, with Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh lending their voices to the song.The collaboration between AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh has added to the anticipation around the track, which will mark the beginning of the film’s musical journey.The makers announced the update on Instagram with a note that read, “Every auspicious beginning begins with an invocation. This Ganesh Chaturthi, Ramayana’s musical journey begins with the unveiling of our Siya Ram poster at 7.30 AM IST. Followed soon after by our first musical offering, Jai Jai Ram. Composed by: AR Rahman, Lyrics by: Dr. Kumar Vishwas, Singers: Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh."Sharing the announcement, they captioned the post, “With the blessings of Ganpati Bappa, we begin Ramayana’s musical journey tomorrow."

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is planned as a two-part adaptation of the epic. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will play Sita and Yash will be seen as Ravana. The cast also includes Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.The film boasts an international musical collaboration, with AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer composing the music. As a result, the soundtrack is expected to be one of the key elements of the film’s promotional campaign.Produced by Namit Malhotra, ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled to release in two parts. Part One is set to arrive around Diwali, with its worldwide release scheduled for November 6, while the film will open in India on November 8, 2026. Part Two is scheduled to release during Diwali 2027.
