Temba Bavuma and Quinton de Kock were involved in a heated exchange during South Africa’s second ODI against Australia at the Wanderers, after a review call sparked a disagreement between the two Proteas players.The incident took place during the fourth delivery of the 48th over. Lizaad Williams trapped Xavier Bartlett on the pads and South Africa immediately appealed for LBW, but the on-field umpire turned down the appeal.

With South Africa having to decide whether to review the decision, there was a lengthy discussion in the middle. Bavuma eventually opted to take the review, and it proved to be the right call as the replays showed three reds.Bartlett, who had scored a quickfire 50 off 28 balls, was given out.However, the review footage also captured an animated exchange between Bavuma and de Kock. The two appeared to be pointing fingers at each other, with the conversation looking far from friendly.Marco Jansen intervened and appeared to calm de Kock down, after which the wicketkeeper-batter walked away from the scene.The dismissal came from a yorker by Williams, who fired the ball into the middle and leg.

Bartlett tried to back away and slash at it but missed, with the ball striking him in front of the leg. Ball-tracking subsequently confirmed that it would have hit the stumps.The moment came during another impressive performance from South Africa, who beat Australia by 32 runs to seal the three-match ODI series.
