Anju Kurian hails from Kottayam, Kerala, and completed her education in Chennai. She developed an interest in modelling while pursuing her studies. Modelling eventually opened the doors to the entertainment industry for her.The actress entered films with a supporting role in the 2013 Malayalam film 'Neram'. She played the sister of Nivin Pauly's character in the film.
