Usain Bolt’s 40th birthday party had a surprise guest of honour – an engagement ring!

The Olympic sprinting legend stunned longtime girlfriend Kasi Bennett by popping the question during celebrations for his milestone birthday.

Bolt shared a series of loved-up photographs on social media alongside the simple but telling caption: “A Million Moments led us to here.”

And just like that, more than a decade of romance reached a spectacular new milestone.

Kasi thought she was planning HIS big day

The proposal appears to have been the last thing Bennett expected.

Social media posts shared before the celebrations suggested that she had been busy helping organise Bolt’s 40th birthday festivities.

Little did she know that the man whose big day she was helping plan had a major surprise of his own.

This time, Kasi was the one being celebrated.

And judging by her reaction, Usain Bolt pulled off the ultimate birthday plot twist.

More than 10 years, three children – and now an engagement

Bolt and Bennett have been together for more than a decade and have built a family away from the track.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Olympia Lightning, in May 2020.

A year later, in June 2021, they became parents to twin boys Thunder and Saint Leo.

Now, after years together and three children, the pair are officially heading towards another major milestone: marriage.

Usain Bolt’s 40th birthday was already a landmark moment for one of the greatest athletes in history.
