Anthropic files for IPO amid jittery season for AI-related stocks

Anthropic (ANTHRO) filed its S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday morning as the Dario Amodei-led AI lab slides closer to an initial public offering during a volatile period for AI-related stocks.
The stock will be listed on the NASDAQ under "ANT."
SEC rules require the filing to be made public at least 15 days before an IPO roadshow starts. The roadshow typically lasts about two weeks, as company executives hold a series of presentations with investors.
Several highlights of the S-1 were anticlimactic, as Reuters and the Wall Street Journal both viewed draft versions of the filing last week.
During the first half of 2026, Anthropic reported revenue of $16.3B compared to $1.1B during the same period in 2025.
The AI giant reported $80.7B net loss for the first half of 2026. About $72B of that is related to non-cash fair-value adjustments on convertible debt and other financing instruments.
