The Final Fantasy series is going through a bit of a renaissance right now, with a bunch of new releases coming down the pipeline that should breathe further life into the beloved franchise. It feels like much of this momentum was kicked off years ago with the original release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, but Square Enix have to be commended for just how well they've done to maintain that since.
Outside of the big video game drops, a big part of the overall appeal of the series is the sheer number of additional releases we've seen in other mediums over the years. For physical collectors, it remains a bit of a dream franchise to be a fan of, and that isn't about to change, with the arrival of a new product that's rooted in one of the best games in the series to date.
Over on the official Square Enix website, you should be able to find the store page for the FINAL FANTASY X LP Vinyl Set -Eternal Calm. The analog disc set includes every track from the beloved game across two individual LPs, as well as a download code if you're also looking to listen while on the go.
The LPs themselves also have a very attractive turquoise coloring, which should make them a great addition to a home collection. In confirming a little about what fans can expect from the project, Square Enix shared the following description:
"We are pleased to announce the release of a new analog disc set for FINAL FANTASY X in celebration of its upcoming 25th anniversary. This set contains a specially curated selection of 20 songs from the original game's music. The jacket features commemorative art by Tetsuya Nomura celebrating the 25th anniversary, while the disc itself boasts clear coloration that evokes images of the seaside, creating a centerpiece steeped in the world setting of FINAL FANTASY X wherever you choose to display it. The product also contains an .mp3 download code so that you are able to enjoy the music even if you do not have a record player on hand."
The new set is currently available for pre-order, though you won't have to wait too long to listen, as they are currently expected to ship to customers in November.
Elsewhere, Final Fantasy fans have a huge amount to look forward to, so much so that you might actually struggle to fit all of the good times in. Final Fantasy Resonance is set to release on October 22 as a new HD-2D effort that takes players back to the retro, turn-based experience that the series was once entirely defined by.
After that, everyone will inevitably be waiting in the wings for the concluding part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Revelation, which is currently planned to drop on April 8, 2027.
