Translate

EXCLUSIVE: Yasmeen Fletcher (Ms. Marvel), Sydney Agudong (Lilo & Stitch) and Billy Burke (Twilight) are leading indie dramedy, Chic.

Writer-director Christopher Yates’ sophomore outing follows “Remi (Fletcher), 23-years-old and hot on the heels of a divorce, as she escapes to O’ahu in search of reinvention. Expectations of a summer akin to Eat, Pray Love quickly give way to a spiraling loss of control, forcing Remi to face the truth that she can’t outrun herself.”

The film also stars Kahiau Machado, Madison Abe-Revera, Mackinlee Waddell, and Cooper Roth.

The film marks Yates and Fletcher’s second collaboration following 2024’s romantic drama, American Spirit, and also acts as Fletcher’s first feature producing credit.

The film is also produced by Yates, alongside producing partner Sabrina Zahir through their banner, Fridge Poet Pictures. C1C2 and Half of a Whole Productions will also back the project. Zayd Ezzeldine is DoP. Filming wraps on O’ahu, Hawaii, in the first half of September.

Fletcher is represented by Gersh, Authentic Talent and Literary Management, and Play Management. Agudong is represented by Gersh, Trilogy Talent, and AEFH. Burke is represented by Gersh and Ellen Meyer Entertainment. Ezzeldine is represented by UTA.
