Malaysia fans can catch five Fifa Asean Cup matches live on RTM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 — Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has established a strategic partnership with YTL Corporation Berhad, which has been mandated as the Main Sponsor for the broadcast of the Fifa Asean Cup 2026, in an effort to bring prestigious sports action live to all Malaysians.

The Broadcasting Department of Malaysia said in a statement today that through the strategic partnership, RTM, as the Official Broadcaster, will broadcast five selected matches of the tournament, including three Group A matches involving the Malaysian team, as well as the third-place playoff and the final.

Live broadcasts of the matches can be watched through the Sukan RTM and Sukan+ RTM channels, as well as via online streaming through the RTMKlik application.

According to the statement, Malaysia’s match against Bangladesh at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta last Friday was broadcast live, with Malaysia currently ranked 136th in the world and Bangladesh 181st.

This will be followed by Indonesia’s match against Malaysia at 8:30 pm Malaysian time on Sept 28, Malaysia’s match against Singapore on Oct 1 at 8:30 pm, and the group third-place playoff and final on Oct 5 at 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm respectively.

“YTL’s support as the Main Sponsor reflects the corporate sector’s commitment in supporting sports development and broadcasting, while expanding public access to quality sports content.
