Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer's Prime Video series will not be returning for a second season on the streaming platform.

Prime Video's action comedy series Ride Or Die has officially been canceled after just one season, bringing the story to a surprisingly early conclusion, at least on its original platform. Although Prime Video has chosen not to renew Ride Or Die, Paramount Television Studios is reportedly taking the show to other potential buyers in hopes of finding it a new home.

The decision is particularly surprising given the reception and apparent performance of the series following its debut in July. Ride Or Die holds a 96% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes (at the time of this article's publication), while the series reportedly spent nine weeks in Prime Video's Top 10 chart. The show also reached the number one spot in Prime Video's U.S. rankings shortly after its release, according to Deadline's report.

Although Prime Video dropping Ride Or Die is a major disappointment to viewers, not all hope is lost. With Paramount Television Studios now looking elsewhere, there is a decent chance that Waddingham and Spencer's action comedy series could continue its run on another platform.
