The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a supplementary list of appointments to President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), expanding its mobilisation structures ahead of the general election.

The list contains additional appointments across several directorates, including election planning and coordination, infrastructure, health, education, security, youth mobilisation, legal affairs and new media.

In a press statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Wednesday, the party said the supplementary list contained appointments of leaders and members across various directorates, sectoral groups, mobilisation structures and operational units of the council.

The supplementary list was signed by the APC National Secretary, Surajudeen Basiru.

The party said the appointments were intended to strengthen coordination among the various components of the campaign council as preparations for the 2027 general election continue.

“Our great party reiterates its commitment to ensuring effective coordination among the various components of the PCC as preparations remain in top gear for the 2027 general election,” the statement said.

The expanded structure covers directorates responsible for election planning, coordination, monitoring and mobilisation; infrastructure mobilisation and sensitisation; health sector mobilisation; civil society mobilisation; financial and technical services; community support and engagement; and extractive industry mobilisation.

Other directorates listed include protocol, new media, data management, creative sector mobilisation, entertainment, special duties, security and intelligence, agro-allied sector mobilisation, stakeholder mobilisation, youth mobilisation, logistics and operations.

The supplementary list also provides for directorates covering contact and mobilisation, air transport mobilisation, legal affairs, manufacturing and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), education, sports and artisan mobilisation.

Additional areas include faith-based mobilisation, labour union relations, welfare, morale and support, policy and manifesto development, organising, parliamentary mobilisation and humanitarian services.

Among those appointed are Berry Negerese and Muttaka Darma, named zonal co-directors for the Directorate of Election Planning, Coordination, Monitoring and Mobilisation.

Chioma Nweze, Abiodun Essiet, Moremi Ojudu, Gift Johnbull, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba and Abdullahi Yakasai were named zonal directors in the Directorate of Infrastructure Mobilisation and Sensitisation.

The list also contains appointments to sector-specific directorates covering health, education, manufacturing, agriculture, transport, legal affairs, security and youth engagement.

The latest appointments broaden the campaign council’s organisational structure, with directorates designed to engage different professional groups, communities, sectors and political constituencies ahead of the presidential election.

Earlier PCC appointment

The supplementary list follows an earlier announcement by the APC naming the leadership and membership of President Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election.

The party initially released its campaign council list in October, naming Mr Tinubu as chairman; Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice-chairmen; and former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General.

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State was named secretary.

Others are Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun State; and Chukwuma Soludo, overnor of Anambra State.
