TEI 2026 draws buyers from 113 countries, 1,533 exhibitors

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The 41st Trade Expo Indonesia will feature 1,533 Indonesian exhibitors and registered buyers from 113 countries as the government seeks to boost exports and target US$17.5 billion in transactions.
The expo will run October 14-18 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition in BSD City, Tangerang, under the theme “The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing.”
Director General of National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi said strong participation showed domestic and international businesses’ interest in TEI as a business-to-business platform.
“The large number of countries of origin of buyers and exhibitors registering ahead of TEI 2026 demonstrates the high interest of international and local businesses in meeting on this business-to-business platform,” she said.
In a statement here Thursday, the Trade Ministry said India supplied the largest number of foreign buyers, followed by China, Nigeria, Malaysia and Egypt.
Buyer outreach was supported by Indonesian embassies, consulates general and trade representatives abroad. The 1,533 local exhibitors are divided among five product zones.
The Food, Beverage and Agricultural Products zone has 754 exhibitors, followed by Fashion and Handicrafts with 448, Manufactured Products and Services with 183, Furniture and Home Decor with 85, and Industrial Estate with 63.
TEI 2026 covers 16,656 square meters and targets US$17.5 billion in potential transactions, more than 1,500 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors.
The Trade Ministry has prepared for the expo since March, including exhibitor curation, buyer outreach, business matching, presentations and a CEO gathering. By September 21, it had held 17 business presentations.
The expo will feature Indonesian export products, business consultations, business matching, forums, memorandum-of-understanding signings, trade agreements, investment commitments and a Media Award.
TEI will also seek to strengthen economic ties with partner countries through ministerial visits. Invitations have been extended to Zimbabwe, Russia, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom and Serbia.
The 2025 TEI recorded US$22.83 billion in potential transactions, with 1,619 exhibitors, 8,045 buyers and 34,550 visitors.
